Even though it seems bleak right now, it’s important to remember that nobody has plain given up yet. Companies and people are doing everything they can to make things work. That means tweaking current systems and implementing new ones that work even better during times like this. We were muddling through it at first, but as time goes on people are getting a firmer grasp on the situation and what needs to be done.
With that being said, today we’ll be solving a much more lighthearted problem that many may have. So today I will write about something not related to recruiting, but that will certainly come in “handy”.
I made hand sanitizer using cheap vodka! You can create homemade hand sani with rubbing alcohol and aloe vera gel. Just type in one ingredient and Amazon will show you the other. And yes, many people have been doing it.
But if you can’t find rubbing alcohol, you can use vodka to make your own hand sanitizer. Problem is that you need the vodka to be about 60% alcohol and stored bought i wvodka is 40%.
You can increase alcohol content by distilling the vodka but who has those equipment. And alcohol vapor is extremely flammable so this method is not recommended for people, even know it all tech recruiters.
So how do you increase vodka safely with what you have at home? Easy, put vodka in a jar and then in the freezer (it wont freeze). Then put an ice cube in the jar. Turn up the freezer to max and put it in the center back (the coldest section of your freezer). The water in vodka will migrate to the ice cube.
After several hours, decant the liquid part and you will have stronger vodka for your hand sani when you mix your stronger vodka with aloe vera gel.
And how do you know if the alcohol is strong enough? While I am sure there are scientific methods, lol, my husband drank it and said it was a lot stronger than before we put it into the freezer. Now with hands cleaned, back to recruiting because that is how we are going to right this ship.
